cherish everyday.

Cherish everyday, because we'll never get a re-do of yesterday, or a double take of tomorrow

Tuesday. Today.  What a flawlessly perfect way to start the day: up by 5 am. Watching the clouds turn pink before the sun came up, driving to Comox to drop off Dad at the airport. Watching the sun rise red, turning orange and yellow above the fields of Comox and Black Creek and above the ocean along the highway back to Campbell River. What beautiful views, scenery and wildlife can be seen before 6 in the morning.  A whole different world we often sleep through. Deer in the fields, cows and horses up early to graze.

After going to visit one very excited pup named Cabela, and watching her do excited laps of the field and yard, then back home to see my other very excited pup, Utah, as he jumped on all fours as he does when he has uncontrollable energy. Sitting on the deck before the sun hit it, in the cool morning air, listening to only the sound of the birds I enjoyed my tea and toast with my cat on my lap. It’s incredible how simple pleasures can make you feel.

Life for the past month has been busy, crazy, hectic, non-stop; whatever you want to call it, it hasn’t allotted me much spare time. However, everyday has been perfect and amazing. I’ve enjoyed trips to Vancouver (yes multiple), threw a wedding shower for Lisa, took a wonderful girls trip to Tofino, Graduated, celebrated graduation, had a great visit with my grandma before she had to fly back East (blog post to come), spent time on the West Coast in Nootka sound for a bit of fishing, and in the midst of all this, worked full time. I had a super challenging, amazing, fun opportunity granted to me by great friends of mine, Carla and Byron who recently got married and hired moi, as their photographer (blog post to come). They are so special, and their day so simply warm and beautiful.
Time left to blog?
Minimal.
I have however thought about it. So now, to add to this perfect, quiet, relaxing, beautiful morning I will post some pictures of my wonderful adventures!

English Bay, Vancouver, Laughing Men “A-maze-ing Laughter”Sculptures, by Yue Minjun.

"Yue Minjun uses his own iconic face in a state of hysterical laughter as a signature trademark. Recognized universally as a sign of happiness, the smile raises questions of intent and interpretation. One of the most influential contemporary artists in China, Yue Minjun represents the new wave of Chinese artistic freedom. A-maze-ing Laughter marks Yue Minjun's Canadian debut" ( more photos @http://vancouverbiennale.com/sculptures_page.php?sculptureID=15)
